Anke works as an illustrator and author of children books at her studio in North Fitzroy, Melbourne.
She won the 2022 New England Illustration Award and was Finalist at the 2022 & 2023 CYA Awards as well as the 2023 NEWC Illustration Awards.
Her fully interactive multi media picture book “A Busy Day in Wimmeltown” was published in 2021.
Anke worked as a Senior Artist for Sony Entertainment/ London and as a Concept Illustrator for Morgen Studios Berlin.
In 2018 she established salmonlab, a Design and Illustration Studio.
Her luminous polychromatic illustrations are brimming with a sense of adventure and magic and she enjoys creating fully formed worlds with quirky subplots, that invite to explore and engage.
